Sanctuary at Tagore Festival, Dartington Estate

On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June, the Sanctuary Experience had it’s first outing at the Tagore Festival, held on the stunning Dartington Estate.

Funded by the Arts Council and Kew Gardens, the installation is held within a site specific ‘room’, which the small audiences enter into 4 at a time to listen to a semi documentary / semi sound scape, listening to other peoples stories of sanctuary.

Stories of Sanctuary

All slots were booked up, and feedback was positive.  Observing other performances and shows, I have decided to add another dimension to the experience, that will include the audience being blindfolded and led into the sanctuary where they remove their blindfolds, and then led out of the space to another ‘ending’ location.

The Sanctuary crew are now looking forward to a summer of touring, and introducing wide audiences to the stories of Sanctuary accross the UK. Full details here.
